ACME Group Services Limited

ACME was founded in 1991 by a group of HVAC controls engineers that had previously worked for, and had held senior management positions with, the then Swiss controls company Staefa Controls, now Siemens Building Technologies.

ACME is a Service led organisation. The company has enjoyed controlled growth since its initial conception and now employs 63 staff from its Head Office at Knaphill, Woking and its first regional office in Olveston, Bristol.

Knaphill Office

The Head Office at Knaphill provides services and cover to London and the Home counties whilst Olveston (Acmetechnical Services SW Limited) provides the same facilities to the South West of England, Wales and the Midlands. The company structure includes dedicated service (Acmetechnical Services Limited) and project (ACME Controls Limited) departments. These departments are managed by their respective Service Operations Manager and Projects Manager who are supported in their roles by excellent teams of committed staff who ensure the operations run smoothly. This in turn allows ACME to ensure all aspects of its business are covered.

ACME is a quality assured company registered with the BS-EN ISO 9001:2008 and also a certified NICEIC contractor for electrical works along with HVCA membership and Safe Contractor accreditation. In addition the company is registered with BESCA giving accreditation to our business concerning the new government statutory Part L Building Regulations.

All company engineers are certified BESCA trained and are able to identify and recommend energy savings along with certifying any works undertaken which is now a government requirement. In addition ACME has a dedicated Energy Manager whose role is to assist our clients with meeting and exceeding the ever increasing legislation associated with energy management. With the impact of global warming and rising energy costs the importance of HVAC controls being set and working correctly cannot be over emphasised.

ACME’s customer portfolio includes a diverse client base with services being provided to the government, public services, the commercial business sector and industry. Over the years works have been undertaken throughout the UK, including the North Sea, and Europe providing high levels of service and expertise. Our services utilise state of the art technology combining IT systems with state of the art controls. We have recently developed a secure data storage facility which we are sure will enhance our customers experience and peace of mind.

The company's ethos is a commitment to provide a high level of service and expertise to its customers and to be the “Problem Solvers”. In order to be able to do this ACME have business and trading arrangements with some of the worlds leading controls manufacturers, these include Trend, Delta, Honeywell, TAC and Siemens. All ACME engineering and field staff receive regular manufacturers training as new products are launched and existing ones revised and updated. This training is continually monitored and recorded in line with our BS-EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assured procedures.

Since the company's launch there has been a commitment to implement and maintain a scheme for young people to join our industry and help to bridge the every increasing skills gap. ACME have enjoyed great success with this scheme and are now entering young trainees into the recently launched Trend Attitude program (http://www.trendattitude.co.uk). This programme will complement the in house training and will further enhance and improve the knowledge of the young engineers, investing in both their future and the future of our industry.
